I don't think I can put into words how going through an insurance agency when purchasing any policy can not only save you money but also make sure you have the correct policy for your needs. That being said, I must tell you that the only agency I would use is Clark-Mortenson. Saving money is great but the follow through and the customer service is where the rubber meets the road. My Rep Billie Heller is incredible and has made some complicated changes soooo easy. She stayed on top of things for me when I was selling tow houses and buying a new one so well I wondered if I was her only client, which I know I'm not.
Clark-Mortenson did a great job of helping our theatre company get coverage when we needed it, at a price we could afford. They also helped make sure our future insurance needs would be covered by the current policy, to save us time and hassle down the line.
Now I had a problem with a company that covers a place I owned with my daughter. Let's just say that the term "dragging their feet" is an understatement. When I asked Billie about it she introduced me to Linda LaBeau. You know that feeling you get when you run from your car into your house during a raging thunderstorm? You know? It's that feeling of safety. The feeling that now everything is going to be OK. Well that's what Linda did for me. She is such a pro an knows her way around dealing with the companies. She stayed on top of the companies adjuster and his supervisor to make sure they knew that if I wasn't happy, the agency wasn't happy. She also made recommendations on moves I could make to help myself and educated me on exactly what I should reasonably expect. Hey I'm no lawyer or insurance expert so sometimes I may think I'm entitled to more that I actually am. Linda made sure that not only I stayed in reality but also would send along the documentation with an explanation I could easily understand. I never knew that this type of service was provided and to say I was pleasantly surprised would add a whole new gargantuan value to that phrase. Trust me. When buying insurance, use an agent and if you can, use Clark-Mortenson.
