Wonderful, dedicated teachers! Invested families! A warm, family-oriented, consistent environment from Preschool through 8th grade. Children of different ages will be together in the same school for a long time, building strong ties. Positivity and kindness are taught, as well as the religious ed. Many "extras" that make a great value even better!

My son is currently in 4th grade at St Joe's, and has been there since kindergarten. His teachers have been dedicated to pursuing and expecting excellence. The one difference I notice between his classmates and their public school peers is the degree of respect the kids at St Joe's have for others. Overall I am very pleased with our SJRS experience

Went to pickup grand-daughter May 9. Went fine, then a teacher came up from behind and without identifying herself started yelling and speaking down to me that "how dare I walk up to the school" to pickup grand-daughter. Letters were sent out (in a tone less than professional. Talked very "Down" to me like I am stupid. I told her I do not use their very convoluted system of cars because I am a veteran that has claustrophobic issues. As we finished yelling in front of others, I told her I would never bring my Grand-daughter back to St Joseph's School again. Three days later the office called up to ask why my grand-daughter had not been in class for three days. I explained the whole story to the front office caller. The teacher said walk-ups can come after cars are finished. I asked if coming at 3:10 would be better to solve the issue. She said, again very condescending tone, that all students will be in "after school care" by then and I will have to pay to get her each day. Seems Miss Shelly, the never mentioned the incident to the office. Nobody ever called from the school since that day. I hear (hearsay) that this teacher has a habit of treating parents, the people that keep the school afloat, like this multiple times before. IMHO, her actions and authoritarian style are not consistent with a successful business model. Guess the front office just does not care how it's teachers interact with parents. I needed to pickup a student like all the other parents, not be part of the automotive "Lipizzaner Stallion" performance that management seems to value so greatly. It is not a safety issue, but rather serving multiple simultaneous methods of child pickup.
